I watched the other guy's fight. He didn't look that deadly, and it looked like this opponent might have been doing a job for him. He was flabby and out of shape and never went on the offensive, and somewhat allowed himself to get tied up - never striking at his head or body to try and break the grip.
I can understand why, if you were wanting to get someone to do the job for your (once) star signing, you give him a 'clean' win, rather than send him in with a worthless 0-0 record.
