If the MSG incident never happened and as a result Austin 3:16 doesn't happen would Stone Cold have been as huge as he was?

No

yes, don't let wwes revisionist history fool you. There wasn't "Austin 3:16 signs in the crowd" the night after the promo, he didn't do shit for 4 months until Bret threw him a bone in October and they feuded.

>An entire generation is being raised by Kliq revisionist history and they unironically believe shit like this

If anything the WM13 match with Bret is the reason Austin became a mega star

alright then, if HBK wasn't being a bitch about something related to Bret and dropped the belt to him as planned at 13, would Stone Cold have been as big?
>>
>>1308226
Lol indian facebook mark pls
Austin was always destined to be a megastar, but it took Hitman Hart to make him one

He and rock on the mic where better than anyone else ever and he can be considered one of the best in ring performers of all time.

He would be a megastar in any era.

Austin is perhaps the greatest fighter since the days of Greek Mythology.

His career is a bigger contribution to human civilization than the printing press, the Taj Mahal, and the filmography of his predecessor John Wayne, combined.

One segment involving him in thousands of times better than the best moment of almost every wrestler that has debuted after he retired.

Curse the lapsed fan who, whether now or in 50 years, ever forgets Austin 3:16. The bionic redneck, the very baddest son of a gun that this planet may have ever seen, raised a Hell which lasts longer than the immortal Hulkamania, a Hell that will never freeze over. And that's the bottom line, son.

That's a much better question. Because, as (>>1308243) says, this idea the curtain call was really a big deal is just the gaybois revising their own mythology.

No, Austin would've still got to the top, but it would have been slower, and therefore come later. He peaked only a little before Rocky became enormous. Had Dwayne come first, I doubt there'd have been the space for Austin too.

Okay, so he would have been a big star, but if what you say is correct and Austin does become a star but more slowly. Then would the WWF have been able to beat WCW by the time Austin was a megastar?
>>
>>1308577
WCW beat themselves, WWF didn't do shit but capitalize on the opportunity
