If WWE got rid of PG, would they suffer for it financially?
Plenty of kids watched when it wasn't PG because most parents generally don't give a shit when they hear the word wrestling.
I gather they would lose out on some of their sponsors but I think they could easily make up for it with the benefits of non-PG television.
Maybe just have Smackdown remain PG even.

it's not because parents didn't give a shit, wrestling was public enemy #1 back then for parents.
the best way to get a kid to do something is to convince them they aren't supposed to.

If the ratings went up enough for them to get equally high paying sponsors they'd be fine.

The problem is they can't put on a good enough TV show to do that, PG or non-PG.
