Has anyone here ever had success making an Airsoft field gun? Or some form of cannon that uses Pyrotechnics as a propellant?
Any other combinations or chemicals to use would be appreciated.

Just posted the same question in /k/ and got more flak than the allied airforce when they tried to bomb berlin the first time.

It might be possible, but also pretty difficult. The best design I can think of would be either caseless, or use cheap plastic casings and would work like a conventional firearm, just with weaker propellant charges. It would be pretty difficult since any combustion would shred a hopup bucking. Not so practical but interesting.
I need movie props for soldiers, what's cheaper, airsoft gear or military surplus?

I can only speak from mil surp. experience but the only things you find for cheap are used BDU uniforms ( or other) and used knee and elbow pads. you would be hard pressed to find any cheap plate carriers or things like that
