WWE is like economics. Much like how capitalism works, if you want a great life, there have to be poor people so you can be rich. If you want to enjoy the show, there have to be jobbers so other wrestlers look better.

This itself is a problem because the best stories in professional wrestling are generally about underdogs losing constantly to a heel and finally (generally on a PPV) getting the upper hand to the loud cheers of the crowd. Sure, you can do a good story with 50/50 booking, like a friendly competition between 2 wrestlers a la Mysterio vs Eddie, but even there, at some point you gotta give the upper hand to someone so there's a meaning (in Rey vs Eddie, the main problem was Eddie after a while couldn't beat Rey and that fucked his shit up)

Twenty plus years ago, even so people knew wrestling was fake, that used to happen.

For example for the so called jobbers. They would win here and there so their matches would be more interesting when they lose to wrestlers they are trying to build them over with crowd. That's why even wrestling was booked, now is scripted, people would believe in gimmicks.

That's also the difference between professional wrestling and sports entertainment. Wrestling is scripted and not booked. And writers do not know shit about wrestling, they are only movie writers wanna bes.
