It is shit as a fan to watch someone get squandered but they have to be liked by Vince and the producers etc, they will always go with their guy because that's how they've always done it and remained successful, yes ratings are low but popularity is a cycle, there will be and always has been a good core audience who tune in, buy merch and buy tickets. The parents who take their kids to see a wrestling show don't care who's a hard worker, they just want to have a good time
