I don't think the gimmick has necessarily run its course, because a light-hearted comedy gimmick with three talented guys who have personality never runs its course regardless of era or environment.
But their material lately has been awful. The well is running dry and I'd like to see them change it up, they're just not funny anymore. They went from fairly humorous to basic, boring, generic WWE-Level humour like Adam Rose and Hornswoggle backstage segments.
