And the Trios Championship match that was also a ladder match that was Ivalisse, Angelico, and Son of Havoc against Hernandez and Two Other Mexicans it doesn't matter who they were that shit was fucking off the chain.
It told a goddamn awesome story and had the greatest spot of the past decade in Angelico leaping off the balcony to missile dropkick Hernandez off the ladder in the ring.

That match felt like life or death, I was actually scared for Fenix. Probably my favorite match of 2015.
NJPW is my favorite current prowrestling promotion.
My favorite match is either a tie between the latest Tanahashi v Okada, Tanahashi v Nakamura, or Ibushi v Nakamura.
It's really amazing how much NJPW has stepped their game up this decade. Before how they were like they are this decade, they were more similar to what people's misconceptions of Japanese prowrestling often tends to be (boring with cool stiff shit here and there.)

80s NJPW wasn't all that great outside the three musketeers though.
90s NJPW was better with a stronger Juniors division but again that was it.
I don't even have to mention 2000s NJPW, though at least there was build up for some of the awesome stars we have today during the latter half when Inoki stopped having Vince level control over the company.
In all three cases Inoki's MMA boner kinda fucked a lot of NJPW.
This decade's roster has had more overall talent than any form of NJPW. Even with people having moved to WWE. As much as we bitch about Vince in that he's super stubborn about changing mentalities, Inoki was just as bad if not maybe even worse in some cases.

Did they push the whole Three Musketeers thing from 1991-1994? Yes. But not only did they first form up in 1988, at least for me I think their time from 84-90 had better matches than their time 91-94 which had very little of them having epic matches and more Inoki muh realism.

Their feud is the best in wrestling, never have two characters hated each other so much, almost every encounter between always ends up with them trying to fucking murder each other in crazy brawls. Hell, they've actually killed each other in kayfabe several times too. Fenix ripping Mils mask off in their title match is pretty much the peak so far, it was crazy to see after Fenix getting his mask wrecked in a bloody mess in all the other matches.
Mil saving Fenix in a "greater common threat" sort of way from Matanza was amazing too
ICW for sure, Drew Galloway returning was a brilliant moment.
