Mankind's first championship was made so much more incredible by Cole's commentary. It was seriously some of the greatest commentary of all time. The night of King's heart attack was great professionalism mixed with emotion (pic related, the exact moment Lawler started passing out). Heenan and Gorilla were a phenomenal team, Lawler and JR were a phenomenal team, and now you're left with Cole, his bully, and watered-down post-attitude-era King. After having had that team dynamic for two sets, we're just all disappointed in the current rotating door of other commentators

It's not about calling the names of the moves, it's about calling the story going on in the ring, which is literally the reason he is there.
As we've seen from the notes, that is exactly what he is meant to be doing (and what all of the other announcers better than him do), Cole just sucks at it.
