Aerostar literally flying and traveling through time is too goddamn far. Most of the other silly BS doesn't make me wonder why the character doesn't just use his literal, cannonical super powers to win the match? I mean, how can Aerostar ever lose? If he does get pinned, go back in time and interfere on your own behalf? It's not even cheating because Aerostar is a participant in the match, nothing says their can't be two of them because time travel bullshit.
Or for that matter, why not literally fly during matches? Obviously because it's impossible to work that bullshit in front of a live crowd, but that's not a good in-universe explanation for this bullshit.
That should be the general rule. If you can't halfway pull off the gimmick in front of a live crowd, forget it. Fenix and Mil can fake being killed through regular acting and good planning of spots, and then just come back when the story calls for it off of some "Well Catrina used this magic rock" or "I'm the goddamn Fenix, rising from the ashes a week later is my whole gimmick" explanation that DOESN'T make you wonder why they don't use their POWERS in a match.

And to further my point, Fenix from day 1 has been showing a penchant for getting back up after being damn near crippled (which Mil stole by...beating him), and Mil, for his part, is very resistant to pain and damage in general, unless it's a dozen superkicks from the two top contenders for his belt, and even then, he ended up murderballing them both anyway a minute later.
You can call it ridiculous, or "too far," but I think it's fucking great. It's a departure from, as I mentioned, a bunch of oily muscled up 6'5" men in singlets raving in the ring. Time travel, generally speaking, has no place in wrestling. It's like if they had Rey Mysterio start busting out Kamehameha Waves while training Dragon Azteca Jr. Once Rey actually debuts, we have to pretend he, for whatever reason, can't use Ki attacks in actual matches. Even given GREAT amount of slack LU gets in this regard due to the general atmosphere they've built, this sort of shit goes beyond willing suspension of disbelief and goes into deliberately liking stupid shit.
Once again, I like LU on the whole. It's great. And minor shit like this doesn't really ruin the rest of the show for me, but I can't NOT think "this Aerostar crap is stupid" every time it comes up.

I think you can only judge the Aerostar storyline once its done. Like a lot of LU's storyline's, it seems ridiculous but they find ways of pulling shit off. They've rebuilt "kayfabe" and are pushing the limits like before. I mean, its about the only wrestling show where two wrestlers can debut as siblings and you wouldn't even question it so I'm with it just to see where it ends up.
Also, I'm really curious about the boundaries they're setting. Bael (RIP) was fucking murdered and people fucking ate it up. With El Rey being on cable who knows what kind of storylines we might get if there's a 5th or 6th season.

I think that's the type of behavior you'd expect from a heel however. Aerostar doesn't come off as one, and I think there's a certain level of pride that comes with warriors like him.
Besides, while his feud with Drago can be seen as a highly intense competition to see who the best of the best is, I think the whole thing with the tribes or whatever made it clear that his purpose is with the tribes and not necessarily to win his matches.
