hey guys, i don't really come to this board that much but i've found a bird's nest in my back yard that must have fallen from a tree. there are two babies, and i put the nest back up nearby without touching them. i haven't seen their mother any time today and i'm worried that they're getting hungry, but i don't want to feed them anything that would make them sick. would anyone be able to identify what species these are, and what they eat?
hate to bump but i'm worried about these ugly fucks

They should be fine as long as they were close to where they were. The parents will hear them and feed them as normal.
Don't worry about it though, as most birds lay 2 to 3 clutches of eggs every year, so they'll just lay another clutch if those don't make it.
