Had to put one of our dogs down tonight due to Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia.
You guys ever had a dog get this? It seemingly came out of fucking nowhere and we had to put him down the same day he seemed to get sick. Seemed 100% A-okay yesterday, and then today he could barely even move.
Vet said they could try blood transfusions, but there was very little chance of it having any effect. And if we didnt want to go for that they didnt think he'd make it another 24hours. So we finally decided to do the deed. Gonna miss him.

I never heard of it until you mentioned it. I also never heard of hemangiosarcoma - spontaneous blood vessel tumor - until my roommate's dog died of it.
Why can't dogs into blood?
