Let's have thread to talk about and discover animal themed video games, may they be simulation, management, virtual pet games etc...
Pic related, SimPark was one of the first video game i ever had. You had to manage your own natural park, buy animals, place the right kind of plants to prevent them to starve, and buy entertainment structures for the visitors. You also had a minigame to discover new species, closely inspired by basic scientific methods.
I can also think about spore, zoo tycoon, sims pet expansion, nintendogs... any other ideas?
zoo tycoon complete collection was my favorite
I'd just fuck around in the kids park, was never that creative with exhibit designs though lol
Tyto Ecology looks great from what I've seen.
Odell Down Under is a game where you play as a fish of your choice, avoiding predators and eating smaller fish that match your fish's diet.
Loved playing this as a kid, taught me the names of so many fish.
You can get it for Windows and Mac

Anyone else played/play Petz? As in the PFMagic PC games, not the random Japanese shovelware Ubisoft translates under the name now.
