You have probably seen me post photos of the cottontail and her babies who hangs around my house. I unfortunately have to report one of my cocksucker neighbors most likely shot her and several other rabbits with a pellet gun and dumped their bodies. He claims he is keeping the coyotes out of the neighborhood, he posted about doing this to social media and the cops came out and warned him that its against the codes in Fort Worth to fire off a pellet gun or any gun inside city limits as well kill wild life like this. He apparently has some beef with our home owners association and I figure he is taking it out by killing animals. He got in trouble about two years back for shooting a coyote down at the mailbox and got his first warning about firing a gun off in city limits then.
She was a wild animal and had been at this house since I bought it about three years back and I knew eventually this was going to happen. Though getting shot and tossed in a garbage bag and thrown away is no way for such a cute harmless animal to go.

Honestly its one of the nice mailboxes that keeps everything secure and you can get USPS packages in at. I actually have one of the few houses with a brick mailbox. Really nice suburb with a big undeveloped field between us and Crowley. That is where the rabbits and occasional coyote come from. As far as that law goes its to get on people who do shit like this. If you were firing a bb gun at targets in your backyard no one would really care or report you.
