I browse craigslist pet ads whenever I'm bored, and it always kills me that people give up puppies after thinking they can juggle 4 kids and jobs.
Poor pups though.
I don't know if I'll ever find the picture again, but "Cages for Fish" is probably my favorite. Guy was selling bird cages.
>>2140396
ooh only $800
>>2140396
>due to financial issues and a busy schedule
$800 is ridiculous.
Puppies in my pic are "ready to go" at 4 weeks which is horrible. Plus they're pits, why anyone would ever buy a pitty off craigslist is still a wonder to me.
This is my favorite on our page rn.
>>2140401
protip: they're usually liars. you can tell because they "figured out" they "can't keep it" because of "work/kids/finances/etc" when the dog is only 8 weeks old.
They REALLY need to make ISO a bannable offense on CL. I hate it so fucking much
>go on CL
>Notice a lot more bunnies than usual
>... a huge amount of bunnies actually
>Count 20 seperate posts of bunnies for a new home
>Not a single one that's a year or older (re: Easter bunnies)
>>2141501
Or Zootopia bunbuns
>>2141497
That fucking rambling post gave me a giggle.

Seems like a winner to me

This guy seems pretty based

>baby alligator
>40 gal tank
>$350
>this transaction isn't actually illegal in Indiana
ffs
>>2141652
>tfw live in louisiana and that transaction would be even though you can fucking catch them in about 1/3rd of the canals in the state
>>2141652
>i don't want or need to sell him
Then why is he selling him?
>>2141530
Sorry, but why is this bad?
It actually looks pretty good. And why the fuck would you need a thick wood?
Wtf

>Admitting to blackmail on Craigslist.
Well shiiiiieeeeet
There was a bit of a caper in my town in which some dog was stolen from its owner at the mall. The owner had tied it up and went inside to lay down a piss and when they got back out the dog had been stolen (apparently he was gone for 4 minutes according to surveillance). The dog was then found on Kijiji and craigslist ads saying that the sellers found her in a different town couldn't find their owners and were selling it for $600 or so. I did not save the original ad apparently, but when the pet owners' association figured out what happened and the police were involved their story changed to them being the heroes.
Kind of a scum bag move, but it makes me assume half the ads online are just stolen pets getting sold off for easy money.
As a humourous aside the perpetrator in this case was a literal midget.
>rehoming fee
Is this a thing? Is it somehow considered more couth to say "rehoming fee" instead of "I don't want this animal anymore but I want you to pay me to take it off my hands to help cut my losses"? Is this the pet owner's equivalent of "my wife's son"?
>>2141655
It aint even his dog,
im happy he tried
>>2141772
It's because of craigslist's rules.
>>2141772
Because it's considered unethical/against craigslist rules to pay for a pet, but paying for the shots, carrier, spay/neuter is okay.
The same way you're not paying for sex with an escort but instead her time and companionship. Anything else that happens is just between two consenting adults.
I wish children would stop posting on /an/
>>2141655
Get them to throw in some strawberrys and it might be a good deal.
>>2141778
Oh, that's dumb but makes sense.
>>2141772
Go put something on the internet for free. it attracts lots of low life and plebs
>>2141791
Well it's Craigslist so that's a given.
>>2141653
This. I live in Texas, one hour from Shreveport. Had a guy bring a baby gator to my job. He said he bought it in Kentucky (or Kansas? Can't remember) but he was complaining about all the trouble he had to go through when he moved down here.
Thinking about it now, maybe it's illega down here because people might release them?
I dunno. Seems crazy.
>>2141751
Awesome. Would buy.
>>2141772
Makes a lot of sense for smaller animals, you have to make it more expensive than regular snake food.
>>2141809
Good point. just wondering why the rules are different amongst states. I mean, it's a dangerous animal no matter where you live.
>>2141834
Because they're very common in Louisiana and raised on farms. People here understand they're not a pet and the law reflects that.
That being said, I've known people to feed a gator and it would come running whenever they called for it. Not a very smart move on their part.
>>2141530
Why is the incredibly tiny one only $10 less?
>>2141497
As bad as this screencap is, that person is probably a better owner than any one else posted in this thread.
>>2141772
A nigger isn't going to pay 80 bucks for a rabbit he's going to feed to his champion fighting pitbull puppies to teach them to be aggressive.
But a soccer mom who wants a cute pet for her kids will.
>>2141549
>thin wood
That wood is more than strong enough for a dog to sleep in
>held together with glue
clearly you've never made furniture
>no pillows
You want him to pick out the pillows for you?
>>2141838
Anon, pls. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.
>>2141997
The problem is that it associated train engines and crews with food so... yeah, it'd come up to random people at night looking for marshmallows and peanut butter.
>>2142011
I remember feeding an alligator at Cape Canaveral a Bavarian pretzel while there for a rocket launch. A couple years ago some kid fell into the moat and got eaten, I always hoped it was my pretzel gator getting a little something extra.
>>2141655
this isn't even bad. it's not his dog and he's trying to find it a good home. he's not even trying to profit off of it.
Remember, craigslist doesn't allow the breeding or sale of animals, and if the person selling the animal says "there's a rehoming fee" but doesn't say what it is or wants you to contact them for it, or if the "rehoming fee" is outrageous, they can and should be flagged for removal.
it's funny. I do regular flagging sprees on BYBs and they get pissy and post things like "you're KILLING these puppies who JUST WANT GOOD HOMES if I don't sell them they'll have to go to a SHELTER and you wouldn't want THAT would you!???"
>>2142545
You must be a very small person with a very small life.
>>2142553
>byb detected
>>2142545
I firmly believe that if you send death threats to bybs they will eventually stop
>>2142560
Whatever helps you sleep at night, amigo.
1/2
2/2
There's a lady that's been posting about her missing dog on craigslist for 2 years. I never know whether I want to feel sorry for her or scream some sense into her.
>>2142634
or you'll be arrested and sent to jail.
one or the other.
maybe both.
>>2141652
>and will probably need a bigger cage in a year or two
>probably
>they grow slowly with the right climate/diet
So not only is this fucker trying to avoid mentioning that a 40 gallon is a piss poor home for a baby gator, but they're also telling folks that they can basically stunt it's growth by freezing and starving it. Fuck people like this.
>>2141530
>reclaimed wood
So it's made from pallets. Such a bargain. Maybe they're the kind treated with pesticides, then you won't have to worry about fleas either!
>>2141654
>i dont want to pay my bills
Then why are you paying your bills
I realize selling alligators isnt a good thing but come on
>>2144435
It has a plastic coating, nigger.
not quite craigslist but still funny.
>>2144450
Yeah, polyurethane never comes off. Perfectly safe.
>>2144508
You, my good sir, are the incarnation of EPICNESS!
>>2141652
I think I know this guy. His name is Joe. I know he was a lazy POS and had an alligator in a smallish tank. Holy fuck.

>>2144629
>>2144913
>admitting breeding fighting dogs on craigslist
niggers gona nig :^)
>>2144948
Well bred game pits don't eat their pups, this fucker's just doing something wrong.
Line should be culled if they eat their young
>>2144287
Yeah, I see the same kind of shit with "micropigs"
>they only get to be 20-30 pounds if you feed them the right diet!
And by "right diet" they mean essentially starving it to stunt it's growth
Why is this seen as socially acceptable?
>>2145131
Because "OMG so cute!"
Sadly no gems on my local Craigslist
Did see these "Bullboxers" advertised for $75, cute little bastards
>>2145216
I hate the whole name mixing to make a "designer breed" thing. I once saw a "Pomanese" that was a pomeranian/miniature schnauzer mix. I don't even understand that one.
>>2145300
I had seen a Bloden Terrier in a pet store before... is that like 3 breeds?
>>2145300
its just a way to sell mutts for more money
>>2145460
I can't find anything online about that breed
>>2144449
yeah, you missed the "need" part. nice try though, anon.
>>2145893
Blood hound, maybe?
I got my dog from Craigslist last week. Was wary of getting fucked badly, but the family was really nice and they had to rehome due to their autistic kid hurting him.
I'm amazed by how intelligent and well trained he is.
some classy people
>>2146379
wtf
>>2140396
Thumbnail looks like the dog is kicking two penises.
>>2146228
>not teaching their kid to respect animals
I'm glad it worked out for you, anon, but I'm sorry for the stress that it may have put on the dog though.
>>2146228
got my little monster from craigslist last September. $10, pit lab mix.
>>2141655

This reminds me of the cat snake one that is actually a ferret.
