I noticed this bird in my garden just sitting there and not moving at all as I walked by. I came back later and it was still there so I put it in a box out of the cold wind.
It's barely responsive at all and won't open its eyes but it moves about a little from time to time and I can see it breathing. I don't know anything about birds so I couldn't begin to guess what's wrong. I've left it for a few minutes and all its done is move further into the corner.
What should I do? Nearest vet is a half hour drive away.
Sorry if this isn't appropriate here, I don't come to this board at all so I don't really know how you handle these things.
Just give it some water and seeds. I had this pidgeon and it was at my place for one night. After that he flew away ;-)

I just got back from the vet. Handed it over because I didn't know what to do.
They kept my box.
