I'm Planing on going on a small 5 mile hike, thinking about taking my dog. He is over 2 years old and is 75 pounds. How much water and food should I pack for him?. Any tips will be great too, I'm searching for a day pack for him now.
And his normal walks are 2 miles.

What the fuck? Do you not know how much food your dog eats?

Bump but don't ever force him to walk when he is tired, OP.
I've been thinking about getting a dog who can accompany me on hikes too, good luck on this OP.
It's probably not necessary to bring food along. Just feed him at his normal mealtimes. If you want to bring some treats, you could do that. But he isn't going to -need- food on the hike.
As for how much water he'll need it probably depends on how hot it is. Just bring a bottle or two and give him regular water breaks, he should be fine. 5 miles is not really that much longer than 2 miles.

>5 miles is not really that much longer than 2 miles
Only by 3 miles which is longer than the initial 2 miles.
