Is that fish eatting parasites out of the Shark's wound or is it just nomming on the shark?
>>2123134
>Do you think Shark Week will be good this year?
probably not.
Its been going downhill since they switched from scaring people about the damage humans to do sharks to scaring people about the damage sharks can do to humans
I do have a shark related question though.
When I was a kid all the things I'd watch or read said filter feeding sharks used their gills to sift out food to eat.
But gills are sensitive and are needed for breathing.
So how do they actually sift plankton and tiny crustaceans out of the water so that they can eat them and how do they do it without damaging the organs they breathe with?
>>2129491
By doing exactly what you're saying they shouldn't.
Search "gill rakers" on google.
They're structures not unlike baleen hairs.

>>2130774
So what do Goblin sharks represent in the guide? Or essentially any other shark.
>>2131916
>Lamnidae
>Goblin Shark
choose one
Goblin sharks are a part of the Order Lamniformes, but not Lamnidae, this family has only 5 still existing species
he only put the two Isurus species into one
>>2131916
>>2131966
Yep, other sharks aren't part of this family (Megalodon is thought to be Salmon's real father, but there's no way to confirm - nobody has heard from him in ages) so the guide doesn't mention them. I do have a collection of gossip and personal anecdotes, but better take these with a grain of salt:
>Basking, Megamouth & Whale shark
Otherkin. Fed up with a lifetime of fat-shaming, they're now lobbying to be accepted as real whales.
>Bull shark
Your stereotypical gangsta, often associated with migrant crime waves. Sort of a power fantasy among other Carcharhinus-fags (generally the normiest of normies among sharks).
>Goblin shark
(prefers 'Brendan')
Former character actor. Has a history of cocaine abuse winch lead to severe anorexia, low self-esteem and a generally reclusive life.
>Sand tiger
Calm personality, but very defensive about her pro-choice views.

people hate and kill sharks just because they say "hi" with their teeth, love dolphins even though a dolphin would rape you to death if they had the chance and are one of the few species besides humans that kill for fun
