He is a 12yo dog has health problems because my mom thinks she knows it all and doesn't want to listen to her daughter who does study to be a fet at the University of Utrecht. Last time I took psychedelics, a 8gram of lemon tek after not doing anything for three months. I did look him in the eyes and I saw him is going to leave soon. Also his legs do not work that good him does collapse several times a day, breathing problems and those kind of things. Rescued from my piece of shit alcoholic mother 6 months ago. He had mange, nails were at least 2 or 3 inches long, untreated arthritis, could barely walk. I don't know how much longer he has left, and to be honest sometimes I resent getting stuck with the responsibility, but it's a good feeling seeing him so much happier.

He's almost 3.no clue what he is, I got him from the shelter when he was a baby, his litter mates looked like full blooded chowchows though.
He's probably the most expressive and gentle dog I've ever had. He's not much of a run around and play type of dog. He's actually terrified of this little squeaky steak toy I got him.
But I've had people tell me hes an asshole and scary, he gets loud with strangers but warms up pretty quickly.

just take him to a groomer or vet. totally worth the $10. if youre poor, please read up on clipping dog nails first. youre probably doing it too rarely so the quick is grown out and your cutting into it. cut it a little at a time, the quick will recede, and then the dog wont mind

Darcy, 9 months old mix I picked up from a shelter last week - my German Shepherd who was with me since I was 6 has died this autumn and I finally decided to get a new dog.
Darcy is very smart, loyal, curious and she's a mighty fast learner.
She's a bit shy when it comes to meeting new people though, but that's good imo and I'm not gonna try to change that.
Pupper is about three months old now, and his behavior is worrying me. He's very aggressive with his nibbling, and likes to go for the feet a lot.
My mother refuses to stand still when his chase instinct kicks in and he goes after her slippers; he gets at least one every time.
Will this behavior fade as he gets his teeth in or should I double my efforts at stopping all play and attention giving when he chooses this behavior?

Keep leash on pupper, when he starts to chase use leash to prevent him from reaching his goal, when he stops trying to chase praise him and give him a treat. Keep him separated from your mom when you can't be there to monitor him, since every time he catches her it feels rewarding to him and that will reinforce the behavior
