I think there is to an extent, but some of it is the absurd hair and beards. They are also multi ethnic. From what I can tell, few Jewish Israelis are actually text-book Semites.
I wouldn't call it inbreeding exactly, but it is pretty close. You can see some of the same peculiarities among English. I can't put my finger on what it is, but I know it when I see it in a crowd. There are pockets of the American Southeast like that also; one presumes it has something to do with isolated communities.
I only recognize it in Caucasians for some reason, presumably because I am one. It probably happens in Mestizo and Negro regions also. Guatemala and Ethiopia come to mind. But I cant distinguish it well if at all.
If I had to describe it, it would seem to be compressed facial skeletal features. It would be interesting to learn what causes it and what exactly evolution is attempting there. Japanese have extremely fine facial features, but we don't register it as peculiar for some reason. The Japanese also have remarkably small noses.
I would expect to see it in Iceland and perhaps Australia also, but I haven't noticed it.
