I kept green anoles as pets all though my childhood. When I moved out on my own, I thought "Finally! I can get larger reptiles!" and got two green iguanas. I thought that, being iguanidae, they would be like having super large anoles. Sadly, I found iguanas to be utterly retarded. Like especially stupid ferns or handicapped bricks. So stupid. How can anoles be smart and iguanas be dumb? Anyhow, after about six or seven years of those dumb shits I rehomed them. Never again. And their diet is so annoying. I was paying more for their fruits and vegetables than I was for my own.

Tegus are monitors with down syndrome! lol Get a monitor lizard, or even a pygmy one like a Kimberly rock monitor or Ackie. Still smarter than both tegus and iguanas. Picture is of a Gould's monitor, also named the race horse monitor. Many farmers in Australia chase them out of their land.
