help me find the best deal on craigslist locally or help me find the best website to buy from. also, is there any way I can get a bigger pleco? how much are they? i used to have some, but it was a tropical climate and they lived in ponds, so not a lot of maintenance on my part.

I like the shape, starter size, don't know if shape would suit pleco, but I know I'd need to upgrade anyway.

The size pleco you should pick depends on your tank size. There are quite a few breeds that can grow up to 40+cm (16in). With breeds that large you should have at least a 375L (100ish gal). Check out somethingphishy.com and thatfishplace.com

plecos are assholes and shit fish. They really don't help with maintenance. I'm in Indiana, you can have my 6 inch. He just fucks with my turtle. If you really want cool large fish get some balas and a 100+ gallon tank or literally any other large fish. Plecos are definitely not a centerpiece, they just shit everywhere. Start a planted tank and get something exotic to live in it. That's probably your best bet on impressing your girl.
