I mean house broken in a sense of he won't shit on me and rattle his tail everytime I handle him.

put him back outside and buy a captive bred one if you want a pet snake. kings are cheap anyway and a CB snake will be happier and healthier in captive environment than your wild one will ever be.

I had a corn snake once who grow >into< the habit of rattling his tail for some reason. you could say he grew up to be an asshole, I guess, he wasn't biting though.

This.

A while. Maybe a few weeks. Maybe never. It looks relatively young, so it should be more flexible if you handle it daily, but it'll probably never be as calm as CB unless you caught a fresh baby.

I kept a wild caught old adult gopher snake for several years, and it never calmed down. Always acted like an inflatable tube man, hissing, closed mouth striking and wrenching away when handled. On the other hand, a baby Crotalus oreganus I caught calmed down to CB rattler levels within a month or so. Same for a wandering garter baby I had as a kid.

Don't try to make wild snakes you dipshit. Put it back where you found it and just go buy a captive-bred one.

>can't even afford a shitty ass petco snake
>decide it's a great idea to yank a wild animal out of its habitat
>"When will it suddenly start acting like a captive bred snake that's been around humans since birth?"

So much this, you could buy a way prettier one for cheap anyway. Wild caught usually are too stressed to even eat anything anyway.
