So, /an/, what kind of dog do you have, and why isn't it a god teir rottweiler?
Fuck me, why do they always come out sideways?
>>2066121
jack russel mix and shar pei
pic is shar pei at 3 months old (she's 5.5 months now)

You posting from your phone? Because I am. For some reason, it always does that from phones.
Anyway, this is my dog. He's a lab mixed with some sort of hound.
>>2066121
I love Rotts, they are the friendliest big dogs I've met so far. My cousin had to put his down a few months ago because she wouldn't survive the winter. We gave her bacon and let her sleep on his bed
Rottweilers are too scary so I went with a dog on the autism spectrum
>>2066159
We had to put our big boy of 12 years down almost a year ago now :( he had a tumor in his leg that took away his ability to walk
>>2066121
>why isn't it a god teir rottweiler?
They're pretty much banned were I live.
No one breeds them because the province and city animal controls take them to test if they're 'pit bulls' or associated breeds and no one wants that risk or fine. I love dobermans, and rottweilers though.
I have a g. schanuzer x lab he came from a puppy mill (was aware of this) and I love him all the same even if he's a submissive puss.
>>2066135
That dog looks really cute, do you have to like clean its skinfolds and stuff?
>>2066121
You spelled pitbull wrong
>>2066323
Ok that's the cutest pitty ever
Red cattle x something else (kelpie, maybe?)
>>2066325
Thanks, shes very sassy
if I want a big dog that's going to get me in trouble via breed stereotypes, I'd rather get a mutt. or at least a breed that's healthier and not known for being so stubborn and aloof
Gentoo!!
>>2066323
Nah im pretty sure I got it right.
What a cutie, has the same coloring as my mastiff
>>2066212
You can't have pitbulls in your city?
Here's mine OP
>>2066122

>>2066121
My Rottie died years ago. Great dog. I want to get another eventually if I find the right one.
>>2066335
What bloodlines?
>>2066121
I have a chihuahua named Gustav he's turning 3 in two days!
i don't have a rottweiler because i own 8 bunnies and 3 Guinea pigs, so i wanted something that could be around my animals.
and well Gustav is afraid of them all so it's very easy
Daniel the Spaniel checking in
Cocker Spaniel

>>2066512

>cropped ears
You can't even afford floors, but you could afford to mutilate your mutt dog?
>>2066335
Jesus is this where the sidewalk ends?
Rotties are so cool. If I had one we would do weight pull. They seem like they would be really good at that.
I myself have a border collie.
>>2066655
Typical nigger priorities.
>>2066425
Yup
"As of August, 2005 the law prohibits anyone in Ontario to breed, buy, or sell pit bulls, defined as pit bull terriers, Staffordshire bull terriers, American Staffordshire terriers, American pit bull terriers, and any dog with “an appearance and physical characteristics that are substantially similar” to those breeds"
The biggest key point in that blurb
>and any dog with “an appearance and physical characteristics that are substantially similar” to those breeds"
Unfortunately people have had their dogs (who have absolutely no APBT in them) confiscated by OSPCA or local humane societies simply because they look like a 'tuff dawg'. including, bull dogs, boxers, rottweilers, mastiffs, canarios, and like every lab mix or hybrid of the listed breeds there is.
If your dog isn't papered, and registered, it's apparently incredibly hard to get it back and prove that he/she isn't a pit bull.
The really funny thing about all of this is that, after the ban (about ten years or so) the incidents of bites and attacks were more than that when pit bulls were allowed.
There are theories that they will keep just banning the next runner up. And I really think they will. I just think that special permits should be required to own dangerous breeds and some sort of check to make sure you're not a complete dumb ass with dogs.

>people have had their dogs (who have absolutely no APBT in them) confiscated by OSPCA or local humane societies

>>2066607
Dog sleeps on beds with us, she doesnt maul anything.
>>2066419
Thanks, i love her color, u have mastiff pics?
>>2066600
Sorry its a house, shes too big and too high energy for an apartment.
I got a golden because I've never owned a dog before and wanted something easy to train/I wouldn't fuck up too badly even if I struggled with training. I can't imagine a better dog now. He's so loving and intelligent. Plus I think he's really cute
Straight up mutt. Lab and dachshund? He's got the duck feet and the little prance when he walks. He is also proving a challenge to train.
Mutts are the best.
>>2066779
desu the same thing happened in the UK. 70 something percent increase of dog bites in the last ten years. obviously their "dangerous dog" ban isn't doing shit
>>2067026
first time I've seen a goldie look anything close to majestic

it's looking at the number of admissions to hospitals due to dog bites, as far as I'm aware breed is not discussed. there was a 76% increase from 10 years ago
