The guy who keep on saying dogs don't like hugs, that might be true for most of them but it depends on the animal itself. You honestly don't know shit about animals if you think all dogs are exactly the same.
My own dog will jump on me and get between my legs when I am just trying to put food into her bowl. She fucking love the attention and love to play rough due to how she was raised before I got her. Hell try to fix her collar today and couldn't even do that because the whole time she was hyper, licking me and just overall extremely happy. I will have to try again later when she is more chill.
She died this week, and I literally just got back from making a cup of tea and automatically going to where her bed used to be to pet her while waiting for the kettle to boil out of habit, forgetting for a second that she wasn't going to be there.

my conure is mostly potty trained, and i clean up after her when she goes somewhere she shouldn't and change clothes if she happens to shit on something i'm wearing... it's really easy to just take a shirt off, clean myself, and put the shirt in with the rest of my laundry... she wears a flightsuit out so accidents are a non issue there...
