what do you do with a partially living rat that your snake wont eat
>>2054066
See if it's healthy. If it's not, dispose of it. If it is, and your snake doesn't eat it in one weeks time, name it and keep it forever
"Partially living"?
Either it's alive or it's dead.

Had that happen a long time ago. I had a couple of gopher snakes sharing a 4x2 cage and the bigger one was being a really shy eater. Got a live rat just for him, and the smaller snake stabbed it's head out from under the side of the hide and grabbed the rat. The rat was too big for him to eat safely, so I had to tear it away. This did not go well for the rat.
... long story short, I took it out on the patio table and cut it's head off with a kitchen knife. It's the best I could do on short notice.

Put it out of it's misery.
Make sure it's a clean kill and bury the poor bastard.

>burying a dead rat
I bet you wipe your asshole with your hand because you don't want to upset the trees

Suppose you could just throw it away.
Or give it to a feral cat or something.

>rats are gross and unfit for being pets
