What does /an/ think of these guys? I've wanted a german shepherd all my life, and really started researching them for the last 6 years. At the beginning, I kind of just wanted a family pet one, but now I'm leaning more towards these guys.

I read in another thread that you have to be extremely careful in examining the hip and pelvis area of the puppers before you get one because some of them suffer from early onset arthritis and osteo in that are due to the genetics of the breed.

Just ask your breeder if they're health tested. you shouldn't have to ask, actually; this information should be clearly presented. Check the breed clubs/website for recommended health tests.
