>Pets you wish you could have but just don't have the time/money/patience
I'll start this thread off well.

I want an iguanua so, so, so badly. They are such cool animals and with proper care they can be so badass and live a long time. I have two dogs and am a poor wageslave right now, so I'm going to wait until I'm probably in my 30's before I get an iguana so it can have a giant tank and I can afford the best everything for it. I don't want to half-ass anything, I want to have a surplus of shit.
Also I really like alpacas but they require a lot of work/upkeep, maybe when I'm middle aged but it's just a lot of work

Fishes.
>>2036727
Smart move, iguanas are badass.
As for me, I've been dreaming about owning a couple seals for years now. I've been saving a lot of money recently, and if this continues for a year or two more and there's no chance of starting a family, I might seriously look into building a proper aquatic environment. It would be fun!
For me, basically any bird. Frankly I don't think I can spend enough hours at home to give a birb the requisite attention, let alone keep the shit factory from turning my entire living space into an outhouse.
Foxes tho

Seconded
Any of them ;_;

>J-jackson chameleons?

You live in Cali or New York?
opossum
>>2036721
they are shit, had them as kids. shit pets.
Also, they are illegal to own where I live
>>2037105
Get the fuck outta here, californian scum.
>>2037073
I'll be honest, we do have a little more stake in controlling what comes over here. If only we could classify them as tourists, then even our tourism agency would want them here.
>>2036726
This.
>>2036721
Fuck, I've seen like five of these on Craigslist since Christmas.
Chinchilla
>>2037279

>>2037093
This
And bats
>you will never have a room sized aquarium
>>2036726
I want a walrus too.
If I could have a herd of twenty I'd be fine, the goal would be livestock breeding but selling a few to fund the venture would be cool too
>>2036726
You can train them to catch you fish :3
>>2037178
I know this struggle, sometimes I'd get really pissed but then I'd see a mongoose steal an avocado or kill a duck and totally see where the concern comes from
>>2037105
Legal in Cali I think still
>>2037995
Nope, illegal in cali. Fear that they'll escape and breed with the native california tiger salamander.

....this has to be new because I had one like 7 years ago and they were sold all around. I even know a lab that sold some to a friend because he was young and the person in the phone wanted to be nice.
All of them.
I want to keep a couple of chickens, for eggs. A few ducks.
A dog. A cat.
An aviary with crows.
Goats.
Unfortunately, having animals (except maybe a cat) doesn't mesh well with the rest of my lifestyle (working long hours, living in an apartment in the city, traveling constantly).
I would enjoy a sugar glider or a corvidae, but I know I might be moving soon. Life is stable enough for me to have them.
When I get older I do want a small farm. A horse, some goats, maybe a pig would be nice.
>>2037995
Righto. Besides, a mongoose is basically a ferret anyaay, so it's not like I'm missing out on much anyway. Right?
>>2036721
Very rarely are they good pets. I owned three, one male and two females. One female and the male were total assholes the third one was pretty chill though loved that little gal. I treated them all the same but thats just how they turned out.
