Can anyone give me advice on possibly getting more affordable pet meds?

I own a Pomeranian who has chronic seizure issues. His issues are managed by Phenobarbital pills.. which we pay $100~ for 300 count 16.2mg tablets every few months.

Are there better alternatives?

Marijuana, specifically THC in forms of oil, tea , smoke, or powder. There has been a study in which THC relieved the seizures in a young child.
