What would you do?
You catch an animal of an introduced species, one of the worst among birds. Do you:

>b) release it
Hard mode: You're at work and there are city people around who will think you're a monster.
Nightmare mode: It's only a baby one, can barely fly, and it's parent are above, squawking in response to its terrified shrieks.

Best thing for invasive species is to give them a predator
Feed it to my cat. The fucker is a garbage disposal and eats everything remotely meat-ish he can get his claws on.

I released it. I've killed so many animals but these days it makes me sad when I do so, even when it's ethical.
Plot twist: It was back this afternoon, and my other co-worker released it again. Useless thing wants to be killed.

Is that really a viable option? I'd love a bird-bro to hang out with me. My sister had a pet bird once, and it would follow her everywhere. This bird could actually accompany me to work, which would be sick. I couldn't keep a bird in a cage for very long.

If it comes back I recommend you capture it and call around the a wildlife center or professor of ornithology and sell if they'll take care of it. I wouldn't kill it yourself OP, partly because it may not be technically legal and partly because the best euthanasia techniques for birds are kind tricky.

I've broken their necks before, once to the point of decapitation.

I shoot starlings with a pellet gun to get rid of the bastards. Invasive bastards, have basically chased off the bluebirds, flickers and swallows from around here.
Just let it go like any other animal that isn't directly harmful to humans. The entire ecosystem is ruined already, eventually the only animals that will survive are the ones adaptable enough to become "invasive".
I would break their necks, and then give them to these guys.
