Stop thinking about it. Like ever. Don't dwell. Focus on the present and the future and pay no mind to the past. The less you reminisce, ruminate, etc, the less the past will matter.

You have to be aware, and catch yourself dwelling.

When it happens, start describing (outloud) the things in your life right now. Where you are, who you talk too, what you are wearing, where you are looking, etc.

You have to live in NOW. The future and past are out of your control, so when you find yourself looking ahead or behind, you need to force yourself into the present.
