I have to do a compulsory internship for my studies in IT and I have two offers:
1. at a large well known company
2. at a very small (5 people) startup
I like the startup a bit better personally. But will it be a bad decision regarding my cv? Will a future employer think less of me than if I did my internship at a renowned company?
Doesn't matter as much as you think it does, any code you write during it will be shit because you're still a student. All code I wrote during internships was shit too. You might get better paid and maybe accommodation at the bigger company, but there's slightly less chance of you doing something that has a big impact there.

You are more likely to be given real work to do in the small company, and also different kinds as you get called on to assist everyone.

I think I will learn a lot of stuff at both companies. At the end, I just wonder whether it'll make a big difference on my CV.
