How do I politely ask my friend to join his informal soccer team? I want to get into a sport but obviously it’s his group of friends, I don’t want to put him in the position of having to shoot me down. The last thing I need is to be out playing soccer with a bunch of guys who either see me as an interloper or are way above my skill level
