Any males here have experience with hair dye?
I have thick brown hair that hangs sort of like pic related and I don't really like it, it doesn't look like it has texture to it because of the dark color. I'm really pale and wanted to try being blonde or something, but I'm undecided and a bit afraid.
Try spiking your hair first. Then think about adding highlights, maybe?

I want to decolour my hair for some reaso n. I know it would look terrible and i would regret it but this thought comes around sometimes.
Also, i think it would be a plus for the people who actually like people who aren't afraid of trying new things, and i minus for almost everyone else.

I had green hair and red hair before, respectively.
If it turns out shit you can just shave it.
It will grow back, mate.

Did you seriously just advise that man to get frosted tips?
>>17337589
My forehead is quite high (not balding, just genetics, think Chris Evans) and I hate having my hair spiked. I actually like the "loose" and unpretentious look so that's not the issue.

Same, I'm not too gay like "omg what will people THINK" because fuck it, I think it's far more embarassing to not do something because you were so insecure it made you ashamed, but at the same time I feel some recoil. Also I understand very little about it.
How often would I need to dye it again?
it's 2016 not 2003
>>17337612
You're right, it's 2016, most male celebrities with brown hair are going blonde.
What's your point exactly?
>>17337570
i was born blond but like many people grew up and had my hair turn dark. at age 11 i started compulsively dying it blond. becuase i let my hair grow out from a short length it generally looks more uh... 'layered'. pretty obviously dyed. but i never get told it looks back or anything, though its hard to get an objective opinion.
either way i like my hair this way and cant stand it brown (or any other colors really).

ultimately i recommend experimenting with it and just doing whatever you want. while i think of my hair as obviously dyed most people just dont actually think about it, so its no big deal. if a discussion comes up half the people assume its dyed, half the people (mostly men) just didnt think or notice.

>this is the faggot that defends women in "go home /r9k/" threads
LMAO!!!!!!! I can literally murder you with my bare hands
>>17337625
i think the most important thing here is to be comfortable with yourself. i like the way i look and thats all that matters.

The color isn't bad IMO, but your hair looks too short and thin for the style you want.
Let it become thicker and longer.
>>17337635
cant really grow my hair 'thicker' is the thing. its very thin and very fine/soft so its an issue. i do the best i can with what i got for sure. couldnt imagine growing it out longer. pic related is the longest i let it get and im not really a fan of it.
ignore the before picture, i was on accutane.
>>17337634
w-w-wait who am I to you?
>>17337643
Color really doesn't look bad. You've inspired me. Thanks.

good luck man. while the layered look isnt realistic i feel like a lot of guys have it and no one really think about it.
for example:

notice that half of them have hair like mine. dark parts, and light parts. i imagine its not natural. dirty blond exists but this is too... precise? either way. i enjoy it and hope you enjoy it to.
and worse case scenario, you can always just stop dying it. just make sure you give yourself a few weeks to deal with being blond before you change it back. it can take a while for it to grow in. especially if ur going for the layered dirty blond look, you might need to actually let it grow out before it gets the dirty part. good luck mate.

no idea, i figured you were making fun of me so just rolled with it.
>>17337660
