Has anyone else here made a really bad decision while being in a bad place emotionally?

I recently made a terrible decision in a state of anger and deep self pity that has completely ruined my life and potentially the rest of it.

I broke up with my long term gf. I was drunk and angry and it was over something that was my fault but I was putting the blame on her. It's been a week and my anger turned to self pity and now it's all clear I have realised I've made a huge mistake. We were together 4 years and I can't believe I've done something so stupid in the heat of the moment. I'm not even sure how to approach it, a mutual friend told me that she said she is in such a happy place since the breakup so I need to tread carefully.
