I'm not comfortable shaking my friend's new girlfriend's hand, and I'm not close enough to hug her. In general I'm not sure how to greet women anymore, but I just say hi and wave like a beta pleb. What should I do?
I greet him with one of those bro-ish gangster handshakes, because he's my drug dealer. Should I just do the same to her?

Nod at her when he introduces her, then say your name (if he hasn't already) or otherwise, "nice to meet you".
And learn how to shake people's hands without having a fit.

I already know her, but shaking her hand in a casual environment (us three) seems too formal or impersonal. I've known him for years, and her only a couple months.
Believe me, I'd rather just shake everybody's hand too, seems fine to me.

Ah, then it's understandable but there's no expectation on you. A nod, a smile, a hello or a combination of the three all work fine. Or just "hey, how are you?" The only thing that would be rude is completely ignoring her presence.
