Does 4chan time match local time or a universal server time ?
Im trying to see if someone who posted on another board in a thread is somone i know. They posted a screenshot of their page and it showed the same timezone as me. Does 4chan do it for everyone?
RIght now it is 3:43am and the most recent post on the 4chan clock is 3:43. I live in Oregon so it matches.

It shows local time, for me at least. I believe there's an option in the settings to change it though.

Just had a look, there's an option under Miscellaneous to convert 4chan server time to local time.

So unless the person lived near me they couldnt have posted it with the same time as me in the screenshot?
Wait nevermind i figured it out, since my local time is the same time as server time then they could have been from anywhere in the world.

Correct. They might not have selected the conversion option.
