How come these air bubbles keep forming on my couch and how can

How come these air bubbles keep forming on my couch and how can I fix them? I have literally no idea how they're forming (aside from humidity and heat recently) or how to fix them. Some parts are already ripped slightly from the bubbling.

It's the thin layer of leather separating itself from the cloth weave that backs it.
