i find myself accidentally being edgy in real life and i am scared it is going to eventually alienate me from everyone.

I reflect on my behavior every night before I go to bed. I think about things I could've said better or shouldn't have said. I allow myself to feel embarrassed for a moment and then make a note not to do that thing again.
Seems to be helping.
