How do i become more assertive and dominant? Thing is that i'm passive and non-confrontational guy. I back away from direct conflicts as i feel very guilty upon saying something mean even if that person deserves it.

pretty much this, stand for youself and your ideas, but I wouldn't recommend "smart" words, since they tend to come a bit pretentious. I'd say more like "direct" words, harsh, don't be afraid to speak up, have an opinion people can listen to, and be strong about it.
