I have a selective eating disorder, and literally will not eat most foods.

I've never tried a burger, I've never tried bone-in chicken, I've never had a baked potato or even lasagna.

I've thought about trying, I've even gone as far as to make sure I was completely home alone, with drinks next to me to try to eat a burger.. And, I couldn't do it, I looked at it, put my tongue on it, and then I threw it away.

It's going to ruin my life, I'm an adult and I won't be able to get through family dinners with my wife's family if I can't even pick up a fork, put down some corn and steak ya know?

But, I just can't bring myself to change it on my own, does anyone know any options? Or have experience with getting over this?

Most cereals, unless it's mixed with berries/raisins.
Pizza, but it can't have any topping, extra cheese is fine.
Hot dogs, no buns or condiments.
Chicken Tenders/nuggets, no sauce.
Bacon, I can't do sausage though.
Eggs, only scrambled.
Hashbrowns are fine, fries/wedges are fine.
Peanut butter sandwhiches on any bread, but no jelly.
Jelly toast on any bread, but no butter.
There's other various stuff I eat as well, but that's a general idea of some of the main foods I eat and how I get by in most social scenarios.

If I were you, I would try and eat the stuff I'm used to and just adding one ingredient I'm not used to. Try eating them together, you'll get your familiar taste in, but it will also open you to eating other stuff. And just keep trying.
