My wife gained weight during pregnancy, what works for us is I get home from work, take care of dinner for our 2 and 6 year old while she does her thing. She comes back to them washed and asleep and life for us is great. Improved heaps when I started helping out more. We have our time from 9 to midnight. It works great.
Don't expect her to change if you don't sacrifice man.
