Is there such thing as tutoring over email / email lessons? That is, you teach someone some subject over email for some modest pay.
Does it actually work? If so, where should I start? What sites should I visit to learn more about it?

I mean, if you only contact them via email, how is it different for them from studying by themselves, apart from the possibility of asking you questions, material on most subjects is usually more or less avaliable
you can get skype tutoring. i am myself a languages tutor, but it depends on what you want to learn.
