I swear by these things, man. Cheap, easy, ludicrously effective, and not bad material for making shock sites. I do recommend double-bagging the bezoar you pull out of the drain, though (not so much because of the bezoar itself as the strip: those things are sharp).

This is why you don't shave long hairs on the shower, first cut it short with a small shaving machine like the peanut, then if you want to do a clean skin shave you can easily wash off the rest either.
You have limited options,
1-call a plumber and have him clean that off.
