Is it normal to have homicidal thoughts about going on a shooting spree from time to time.

Or should i seek help? I mean everyone has thoughts about shooting their boss or co workers every now and then right?

I used to. Not about my job, I loved my job, but definitely in high school I thought about mass murder routinely. This was before Columbine.

Nah, I'd prefer to strangle various individuals.

most likely yes.

as long as you don't act on it and realize that it's not a good thought, a bit of active imagination doesn't hurt

honestly I'd normally chalk something like that to stress, but if you think i could become an actual problem maybe keep an eye on it and see how deep and frequent the thoughts get. if it gets worse with no signs of changing, then yes. get help

There's a difference between a daydream and a plan.

Might be good to talk to a shrink about it, before it possibly becomes an issue.

Be aware however, that if you give any inclination that you have a plan and have an inkling to follow through with it. IE: "I bought a rifle and have been stockpiling ammo, I don't think I'll do it but one of these days my boss will push me too far." Will get you reported and likely committed.

But just anger and wanting to lash out at coworkers/bosses is normal. A counselor should be able to help and is covered by most insurances.
