I'm going to be in my second year of college in the fall. However, I have essentially been living a NEET lifestyle since high school. During my first year of college I basically just stayed in my dorm, browsed the internet / vidya, and did not put any real effort into socializing or school work. I am currently at home for the summer break without a job or any social interaction. I don't have any real friends or hobbies and am feeling lost in regards to what direction my life is heading towards. Any advice /adv/?
Do you know what NEET means?

I meant that I'm basically living a shut in lifestyle despite being in college. On second thought, NEET isn't exactly the correct term but I certainly feel like one.

Right, but I really don't know how to get out of this lifestyle. I've tried picking up some hobbies like movies and learning languages but it eventually just dissolves into mindlessly browsing the internet all day. I just can't motivate myself to do anything and I feel that my lack of hobbies is stopping me from making friends.

movies aren't really a hobby. Try woodworking, carving, painting (bob ross style), biking, hiking, local charity runs, volunteering (there's some neat stuff like meals on wheels where you deliver meals to elderly/disabled people), fishing, camping, working on and learning about small motor things like a broken lawnmower or scooter is also fun.
Try creating instead of consuming.
