Is running a good fix for anxiety/depression? I can't talk my way into the safe sweet spot with medical professionals so I'm going to have to fend for myself.

Running will make you feel like shit. Your body will be in good condition though! Maybe your confidence will go up if you have a better body

So it will make me worse?

Google "runner's high"

Through studies with athletes it has been found that endorphine
levels increase with exercise. Special interest arose in the possibility
that elevated endorphin levels might explain the mood changes that
occur during running, in particular the euphoria of the runner's high,

This guy has no idea what they're talking about.

This is accurate. After exercising, especially cardio, you will feel runner's high, which uplifts mood for hours afterward.

I've heard of a runner's high before. I went on a run this morning and I only felt miserable.

When am I going to stop feeling like shit?
>>

when you realize runners high is experienced only by people that literally don't have any other kind of fun in their life

I used to run miles everyday no problem. Not sure about runner's high but i was playing tons of sports constantly. Back then i had all my shit together, life was great and people wondered how i did it. Fast forward to years later where i never exercise and my life is in the crapper. If i went running now I'd feel like shit. You have to ease into it. For me, since i used to be athletic, it comes back faster than most, still gonna take me a week or two. I does feel great to be able to jog a mile without breaking a sweat. Also, get a bike, those are fun. Finally, ask /fit/ too

Well, I always somehow end up cutting myself when I realise I can't get any pleasure at all out of masturbation.

Does that count?

Honestly consider suicixe.

Running will make you feel better when starting out, and when later on you're improving. However if you are already fit, just lift weights dude. Feels way better plus the boost of testosterone will make you fuck like a tiger or fap like a true degenerate.
>>
In my experience, no. I was serious about it too, I would run 35KM in one go some weeks.

I don't have space for weights. I do have running shoes.
