How do you stop giving into ravings and seeking instant gratification?

Masturbating (and watching porn), eating shitty and unhealthy food, smoking, being a lonely loserhave, constantly browsing 4ch have become a norm. It's automatic.

How the hell do you end something like this?

Human beings are made to be comfortable. Imagine being married with kids living the same routine everyday. It's kind of like that, but instead of doing boring shit with other people, you're doing it alone.

THIS, PLEASE

I give in to pot and sugar snacks. all the time.

Im going to bed and will not be posting anymore, but try to understand theravada buddhism (perhaps even daoism). Don't approach it as a religion. It's all about dealing with suffering and putting an end to "cravings".

And you end up more miserable than before, only disillusioned enough to not see it. Buddhism prescribes an end to ALL cravings and clinging. Furthermore, they tell themselves they're doing it for the sake of realizing something (nirvana) that is presumably a state of mind to begin with (the path as it's called).

What's equally disconcerting is the fact that the Buddha's teachings weren't even committed to paper until 4 centuries after his passing, and there is a good possibility for devotionalism having crept its way in, followers purely looking for refuge in religion adding their own spin to glorify their religion like any other, detracting from the original message in the first place. (You can see this by the excessive use of titles like "Lord" in the suttas, which goes against the original notion of Buddha having proposed that he was just another man and should be seen as such, nothing more. Also, he's believed to have been vehemently against idolatry of any sort (the kind prevalent in Hinduism at the time), yet we saw so many of his statues and stupas pop up nonetheless.

An end to clinging may be beneficial in some extreme cases, but the world couldn't go on operating for a day with something like this in effect en masse.

For food urges, try drinking a glass of water. It interrupts the impulse.

With food, make sure to know how many calories it is. Then imagine if you will really feel THAT much better after eating it. When eating, focus on the flavor and how full you are. Make sure to eat slowly because your stomach takes a while to let you know you're full.

For everything else, being super busy will help. You will never be able to not jerk off if you are at your PC all day. Never. There is literally no way if you do this.

You have to accept that you will not enjoy getting out of the disgusting mess you've got yourself in. It will not be fun. Exercising daily and therapy will help immensely.
