I'm from Canada and I'm currently studying German. I love German culture and I am doing this as a hobby. How to improve my German without uprooting myself and moving to Germany?

Listen,
study (grammar and vocabulary with flashcards),
translate (from english to german and vice versa)
and read A LOT (at a comprehension level just above your current one, but feel free to read through much more difficult texts too so you can get a general feel for the language. see pic).
start praying 5 times a day facing mecca

Watch German news. They can be accessed for free on the internet, you learn more about german culture and they always talk very understandable german.
Also find German friends on interplas. The easiest way to learn a languge is to practice it regularly.
