I always feel sad in the background. No matter what I'm doing, even if it's fun, it kind of just stays there and whatever I'm feeling couples with being sad. I'm still doing stuff, I finished school just recently, but I don't really feel any sense of accomplishment. The sadness just kind of stays there in background.
I saw a therapist for a year, didn't help. I even went on meds but it simply wasn't worth it and brought up other problems.
What could be a reason for feeling this way, or what's some advice that could help?

major depression has mixed feelings of happiness and saddness. like you can laugh and cry at the same time. bipolar is very separate.

i think taking meds for a depressed person usually makes them feel even more depressed, especially if it takes a while to work. theres probably something in your life making you sad, so instead question that instead of why you are sad.

You can be a hobo but if you are happy then it doesn't matter, nothing matters when you are happy. The world can fall apart but if you are happy then it doesn't matter.
